Future of LCS Facilities Proposed Plans

Mr. DePaul - School Board Member - proposed a plan to Close/Convert Sandusky Middle into a K-6 Elementary School and move the TCM and SES students to that school. Current Middle School Students (except SMS 6th graders) would go to the other two middle schools and overflows would be dispersed to SMS until capacity and then all other elementary schools could have sixth grade classes added as needed.

Dr. Wodicka Presented a draft of the CIP at the 09/17/2024 School Board Work Session. It includes information about capital improvements, the plan process, and Goals over the next several years. You can see the financial and timeline breakdowns of various Capital Improvement Projects including Renovation & Additions to Sandusky Elementary.

There is also excellent information about the "School Construction Assistance Program" that has potential to be utilized across various projects throughout LCS not just Sandusky Elementary.
