Volunteer

We are a group of parents, community members, staff, students, and citizens advocating for not only the students but the future of the entire school system and the City of Lynchburg.

Ways to help:

• Sign-up and Speak at City Council meetings here.
• Sign-up to speak at School Board meetings by emailing the board clerk at boardclerk@lcsedu.net.
• Leave a voicemail for the School Board by calling (434) 515-5092.
• Show up to the City Council and School Board meetings.

Got nerves or anxiety about speaking?

A member of Save Our Schools would love to help you write a speech or practice giving it. We know it can be nerve-wracking and we want to help.

Still don't think you can speak?

Attend a School Board and/or City Council meeting. Wear merch to represent any LCS school or organization or simply just school colors. Bring a sign to hold or ask anyone else there if they have any.
